The Virginia International Polo Club (VIPolo) was founded to promote the growth of polo in the Mid-Atlantic region as polo is gaining in popularity throughout the world.  Spectators and players come to Upperville from all over the region; Washington DC, Northern VA, Charlottesville, Maryland and other countries as well.  VIPolo has been featured in several periodicals that reach international audiences as well as local residents.  The profile of membership ranges from those who keep 1-2 horses at their homes to those who travel the world playing polo.  The profile of the spectators are richly varied but generally sophisticated and sporty.

As a venue VIPolo cannot be matched.  It is located at Llangollen, the magnificent and historic 1100 acre estate and working farm at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  Players and spectators are treated to the best polo in the Mid-Atlantic region while they are visiting one of the countries most impressive farms and most impressive settings.
